How to Prevent Falls and Stay on Your Feet in 2012

When employees slip and fall in your organization it affects your ability to carry out your mission. We commonly associate falls with members and guests, but think about the effects of an employee falling and missing one week of work.

To your organization…

You find a temporary replacement, or move an employee from another area. But will the replacement understand and fulfill your organization’s mission?

To your staff…

They’re missing a core part of their team. Will everyone be able to do more and work harder?

To your members/guests/youth…

The employee they know and see every day is missing. Will parents who trust that employee have hesitations leaving their child? Will a child planning on disclosing something feel comfortable speaking with a temporary replacement?

And, to the injured employee…

The employee finds meaning in his or her work and wants to get back to the organization quickly. If any replacement can fill in, will the employee be as closely tied to the mission after returning?

As you can see, the ripple effect gets greater and it becomes more than just a fall. We all recognize the common “wet floor” sign that warns people when a floor is slippery. But we think it should change to the sign shown here.

Help your members and coworkers stay on their feet and deliver your mission with a few simple steps. Start with the tools we’ve provided below.
